The Darkness Before The Dawn by Elle Pervez - Part of my Metamorphosis collection, this smaller work explores the in-between, the quiet stretch of journey where you can’t yet see the light, but you know you’re moving toward it.

Painted on unstretched canvas, it feels raw and honest. The surface holds the tension of transition: layered, searching, becoming. It speaks to that moment before clarity, before breakthrough… when growth is happening beneath the surface.

And then, under a UV torch, it reveals something more. A hidden glow. A reminder that even in darkness, there is light waiting to emerge. This piece is about trust. Trust in the process, in the path, in the dawn that always follows.

This work forms part of Metamorphosis, a series examining silence, space, and transformation. Moving between desert terrains and abstraction, the collection mirrors the internal journey from containment to emergence.
